Social commentary

Well, it's that time of year again--snowflakes, snow angles, and snowmen, the smell of roasting chestnuts, the sounds of carolers, a general feeling of love, peace, and goodwill toward men, and of course, people getting shot over the new Playstation 3. Honestly people it's a mind-numbing waste of time that furthers social ineptitude, and apparently fosters mob behavior.

And I haven't even mentioned the HORRENDOUS bastardizations of time-honored carols that they call commercials.

Now let's mention the newest O.J. fiasco. I have a hard time fathoming that even in today's scandal-ridden entertainment world filled with spectacle-lust, someone actually thinks it's acceptable (much less a good idea) to glorify the murder of two innocent people while the murderer's children slumbered upstairs in exchange for money.

I'm not quite ready to throw away the proverbial towel and become a hermit, but the aforementioned certainly bolster my sense of elitism, both moral and intellectual.

I'm glad the American public was able to convey their disgust with the whole OJ situation and force News Corp. to back down and cancel the whole thing.
