The Perfect Coiffure

Tonight my hair has the most suave feathering action going on. I must say it's drop dead sexy. Too bad the only people who got to be visually pleasured by my locks are my crazy friend Sam, some girls at the chick flick, and Zipper. (Yes he qualifies as people)! C'est la vie...

Poetic Night

Tonight I walked along the edge of the park to hear the trees discuss my presence with the wind. A small moon swam in a twilight sky with her starry companions who chased away the sleepy sun. The gravel crunched below my feet forming a counter melody with the singing insects, and the slight smell of rain echoed the last strains of the day's thunderous symphony.

Sometimes I am the twilight: neither day nor night, coming yet going. Restful, wistful, comforted, lonely, existing, dying, breathing, flying.

Liebt und Leben

The last few days have been nice: I've discovered some new music by God (aka Rob Thomas), baseball has started, and yesterday Ed and I celebrated two years together.

The weather sucks ass; we're expecting up to three inches of snow!! But at least there is still Chipotle, that culinary mecca! The last time I was there, they drew a happy face on my burrito wrapper. You know you've been somewhere too often when they start decorating your burrito!!

Happy Friday the 13th!!

Now

Out of your whole life give but a moment!
All of your life that has gone before,
All to come after it, -- so you ignore,
So you make perfect the present, -- condense,
In a rapture of rage, for perfection's endowement,
Thought and feeling and soul and sense --
Merged in a moment which give me at last
You around me for once, you beneath me, above me --
Me -- sure that despite of time future, time past, --
This tick of your life-time's one moment you love me!
How long such suspension may linger? Ah, Sweet --
The moment eternal -- just that and no more --
When ecstasy's utmost we clutch at the core
While cheeks burn, arms open, eyes shut and lips meet!

~Robert Browning
